HAGEMANN RANCH: GATE

Arjun Nimmakayala, an Eagle Scout candidate from Boy Scout Troop 939 (chartered by First Presbyterian Church) brought forth a decade-long dream of the Hagemann Ranch team to have an entry gate befitting the history and fencing style of this historic ranch.

Arjun engaged the Livermore Heritage Guild to understand the project scope, drew scale plans for the City Heritage Commission and worked with City Planners in preparation, a process that took two years. He next revised the plans when the sign ordinance did not allow the desired rural entry arch.

Funding was secured through the Guild and the Livermore Rotary. He purchased materials and assembled helpers for nine work days. Arjun led his team of scouts and parents to first install the anchoring posts. They next built the two 10-foot swinging gates, 6-foot extensions on both sides, and painted all in bright Ranch white.

The ribbon cutting ceremony occured 4/8/2021.
