A dozen people took part in the ceremonial sealing of the Livermore
Centennial time capsule last week at city hall. The barrel-like
container, on table at right, was filled with momentoes of the
1969 observance and some history about the community through
newsletters, the book "Suburbia" and photos of centennial
year activities. Shown at the sealing are from left to right
Mayor Bob Pritchard, photographer Lee Estes, councilman Don Miller,
official centennial photographer Ed Peiffer, centennial committee member and Heritage
Guild vice president Janet Newton, former centennial co-chairman
Barry Schrader, centennial general chairman Paul Heppner, councilman
Helen Tirsell, Chamber manager John Strong, centennial year mayor
Gib Marguth, and centennial honorary co-chairman Herbert Hagemann.
The capsule was then buried under the totem pole at centennial
park.
