Hello, I started a website for Livermore about 4 months
ago. It is called "The Livermore Buzz" and the URL is
http://www.livermore.bz (Yes, you read it right). The site is
totally interactive. Any user may post articles, comments, join
in threads in the message forums, even online chat. One of my
objectives is to collect as much of Livermores history in the
form of narratives fromt those who have lived it. If you can something
you can contribute to this reconstruction of Livermore's past,
please visit www.livermore.bz, make a nickname, select "submit
news" and use the "Livermore History" topic. All
articles will appear on the front page and become part of the
searchable archive for all to enjoy for years to come. On a final
note, the site is proving to be very popular. I invite you to
stop in and play a video game or interactive crossword puzzle.
Last month saw 1623 pages served up. This month, as of the 4th,
aleady we have served almost 700 pages. See you there... Thanks!

Hello, I am looking for pictures of the old schoolhouse
that used to be on the corner of old Altamont Pass Road and Greenville
Road. My grandmother, Rose McQuistion, lived in that old schoolhouse
the whole time I was growing up. It has since been torn down and
I would dearly love to show my kids and grandkids pictures of
it. I have my fondest memories of staying with my grandmother
on weekends and summer vacations in that house. If anyone has
any pictures or history on the house, please write to me. My grandmother
and father are both gone now so I don't have anyone to 'fill in

marketing of products as seen on TV in England. Most of the infomercial

various products. I think it's hilarious that English people respond
so well to American products while Americans tend to respond well

I really miss Livermore, lived there briefly '76-'77 and
moved back in '82 and finally moved to NC in '86. Married a Livermore
girl (unfortunately divorced now, miss her too). I lived in Menlo
Park and Burlingame, but Livermore was my favorite. It seemed
to be changing so fast when I left in '86. I still have photos
of the old school house (inside and out) at Altamont and another
old school house between Dublin and Livermore. I think both burned
down before I left. The photos of the Altamont School were take
about two weeks before it burned. If someone could answer a question
for me I would appreciate it. Is the old gas station still standing
at Altamont? How about the old hospital (?) outside of town on
Arroyo Canyon Rd? I worked at the Kragen Auto Supply there in
Livermore, met many of the people of the city and they were all
great folks. I miss you all. John
